What is the Employment Insurance Premium Reduction (EIPR) Web Portal?

Why has the EIPR Web Portal been introduced?

The Government of Canada has introduced the EIPR Web Portal to provide a more modern and convenient way of submitting documents.

Who can use the EIPR Web Portal?

Employers, both existing clients and new applicants, can use this portal.

Will my application be processed faster if I submit my documents through the EIPR Web Portal?

The processing timeframes won’t change as applications and supporting documents are processed in the order they are received. However, using the EIPR Web Portal ensures your documents are received faster and more efficiently than by mail.

What if I have documents to submit for more than 1 business number?

Submit only the documents related to the business number (BN) you provide on the profile page. If you have documents to upload for different business numbers, complete separate submissions for each business number.

How will I know if my documents were successfully uploaded?

You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of uploading your documents. If you don’t find the email, check your junk or spam folder. If you haven’t received an email after 24 hours, contact us.

Which device should I use to upload my documents?

We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer, as the EIPR Web Portal is currently optimized for these devices. While the EIPR Web Portal is accessible on mobile devices, functionality and user experience may be affected.

What are the guidelines for EIPR Web Portal document submission?
  • File size: Each document must not exceed 50 MB. If your document is larger, compress it or break it into smaller parts.
  • Maximum number of documents: You can upload up to 10 documents at a time. If you have more than 10 documents, upload the remainder in a separate submission.
  • Accepted file formats: Only PDF format is accepted. Other formats won’t be accepted.
  • Encrypted and Password Protected: PDF documents that are encrypted or password protected won’t be accepted by the EIPR Web Portal.
